38th Annual Philadelphia MED Week

Get ready for Philadelphia Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Week 2022! MED Week highlights diverse minority businesses and the resources that help them grow — and the Eastern Minority Supplier Development Council (EMSDC) is proud to do our part. We certify and connect minority-owned businesses (Asian, Black, Hispanic, and Native American) throughout Pennsylvania, Southern New Jersey, and Delaware with member corporations to initiate growth and opportunity through Supplier Diversity channels. Now in its 38th year, MED Week begins on October 3rd and concludes on October 7th, 2022. Read on to learn more!

Forging the Future

The City of Philadelphia notes that MED Week is a “national observance that recognizes the outstanding achievements of Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs)” and also “honors corporations and financial institutions that support minority business development.” Throughout Philadelphia MED Week, organizations from across the region will host virtual and in-person networking events, panel discussions, and workshops focused on this year’s theme: Forging the Future: Growing Generational Wealth – “This is How We Do It!”

Kick-Off Breakfast and Awards Ceremony

Philadelphia’s Office of Economic Opportunity (OEO) will kick off MED Week with a breakfast and awards ceremony. This free event will take place at Parkway Central Library in Philadelphia on October 3rd, from 8:30 to 10:30AM. OEO will share information about the 40+ events being held by partner organizations during the week and will recognize several people and businesses that have had a positive impact over the past year.
