EMSDC Team Spotlight: Meg Markley & Brittany Rivera
As we kick off the new year, The Eastern Minority Supplier Development Council (EMSDC) is shining a spotlight on our amazing team. Today, we are pleased to introduce you to Meg Markley and Brittany Rivera!
Meg Markley, Senior Director – Administrative/Technical Services
Meg Markley has been with EMSDC for 11 years, and as Senior Director of Administrative and Technical Services, her responsibilities run the gamut from marketing/communications, corporate directory access, and events, to technical support, operations, and subscription services. While her role is vast, it is also highly rewarding, as proven by her favorite quote (inspired by Mark Twain) — “If you do what you love, you’ll never work a day in your life.”
When asked what she loves most about her role at EMSDC, Meg answered, “The variety each day and the people that I work with.” Like we mentioned earlier, our team is amazing, so we couldn’t agree more! To get to know Meg better, you can find her on LinkedIn by clicking here.
Brittany Rivera, Director – Programs and Business Administration
Brittany Rivera has been with EMSDC for six years, and she is available to assist in a variety of ways. Brittany initially came into the Council as the Recertification Manager with substantial knowledge about the certification application and process. When asked what she values most about her role as our Programs and Business Administration Director, she replied, “I love that I am given the opportunity to connect with MBEs and Corporate Members and help execute successful programming.”
Brittany’s duties include managing programs and events, such as the Annual Youth and Entrepreneur Golf Invitational, Aramark Center of Excellence Program, and Exelon Foundations Program. She is also in charge of financial responsibilities and office management. Her favorite quote is, “No is not an answer, it is an opportunity,” and we think these are great words to live by.
Here are three fun facts about Brittany Rivera, in her own words, to help us all get to know her better:
- “In my past life, I was a singer.”
- “I am a Chicago Bears fan by birth.”
- “I LOVE Beyoncé!”
