Hispanic Heritage Month Member MBE Spotlight
Throughout National Hispanic Heritage Month, The Eastern Minority Supplier Development Council (EMSDC) is celebrating the valuable contributions of Hispanic and Latino entrepreneurs in the United States. We are also celebrating 50 years of impact as a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization and affiliate of the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC).
At EMSDC, our primary mission is to stimulate and support economic development with minority-owned businesses (Asian, Black, Hispanic, and Native American) across Pennsylvania, Southern New Jersey, and Delaware. Today, in honor of National Hispanic Heritage Month and beyond, we would like to shine a spotlight on a few of our amazing Hispanic American members at the local and national level.
More than your typical contractor.
Sentinel Construction is a MBE and WBE certified construction company located in Wexford, just north of Pittsburgh. Stacey Weniger, Founder and President, is on the Board of Directors for NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association. She is also a member of the Pittsburgh Metropolitan Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Urban Land Institute and CREW Pittsburgh. Prior to starting Sentinel Construction, Stacey spent 16 years on the finance side of commercial real estate with transactions totaling over three billion dollars.
Instead of focusing on just the construction of commercial properties, Sentinel offers a complete consultative approach, working with property owners throughout the entire process from the concept phase to completion. Rounding out the Sentinel Construction team are VP Michael Weniger, company partner Michael Pfeifer, and an expert cohort of project managers and engineers.
