Time for the 2023 EMSDC Golf Invitational

It’s that time of year again. Time for the EMSDC Youth and Entrepreneur Scholarship Golf Invitational, featuring a Tennis Clinic and Round Robin! This highly-anticipated event supports the mission of the Council to build and foster business relationships. Proceeds continue to fund business scholarships for our minority business owners, as well as fund programs for youth through All Star Code, UNCF, the Business Center’s Youth Entrepreneur Camp, the Tyreem M. Richmond Book Foundation and the Will Allen Foundation. Last year’s event sold out, so don’t wait! Click here to register! Space will be limited and the course will comply with CDC safety guidelines.

Here are a few testimonials:

“The 2022 EMSDC Golf Outing was the first time I’ve ever picked up a golf club, much less swung one. By the 9th hole, I was successfully able to drive the ball down the course with great tips and guidance I got from the others on my golf team. Being a novice ended up being a great ice breaker for me in making connections amongst others who were much more experienced. Overall I had a great time!”

“The EMDSC staff and their corporate sponsors have put together a phenomenal event at a fantastic golf club. The contacts that I made today you can’t put a price on!”

Playing a round is good business!

A round of golf can form lasting relationships in a few short hours, fund projects, build teams, break down barriers, and create an environment of deal-making, stress relief, and wellness. At the Youth & Entrepreneur Scholarship Golf Invitational, you’ll get to know the other players well, not so much by what they say, but how they handle themselves. Golfers bare their souls on the course, showing their genuine reactions to good shots, medium shots, and catastrophic shots. Over the course of play, you can get business leads and learn about new, reliable sources in a relaxed atmosphere that is conducive for problem-solving, team building, and deepening relationships.

Non golfers can join the Tennis Clinic and/or reception and enjoy similar benefits. As an added bonus, both golf and tennis participation includes $100 worth of FootJoy merchandise!

  • This opportunity is open to participants that register one or more golfers. If you register a foursome, please indicate on your registration that you would like us to pair you with other participants.
  • If selected, the foursome purchased or included in your sponsorship would be comprised of the Buyer-MBE match (for example, a typical foursome consists of two representatives from a buyer entity and two diverse suppliers).
  • Matches are made on a first come, first served basis, and are also based on buyer availability and selection. We cannot guarantee a particular match.
